ISCA-ICAEW Joint Project

Date: 4 April 2017

“Our Future Together: Future of Professional Learning and Entrepreneurship” is the second installment of the Our Future Together events jointly organised by ISCA and ICAEW.

Through the event, ISCA and ICAEW aim to shape the debate on how education, training and professional learning should be revised to better develop professional accountants who are future-ready.

There will be a presentation on findings from the research report, “Industry Perspectives: Future of Professional Learning and Entrepreneurship”. The report attempts to address questions including:

  • In a digital age, how will accountants continually strengthen the nexus between skills acquisition and utilisation?
  • How will the pedagogy of accounting be shaped with changing times?
  • What are the right skills and competencies a curriculum needs to encompass for one to be future-ready for the accountancy profession?

There will also be a panel discussion on “Future of Professional Learning and Entrepreneurship in an Age of Disruption”.

Please refer to the event programme appended.

Objectives:

  • Share research on future of professional learning & entrepreneurship with CAW bodies
  • Promote CAW as a modern/innovative organisation, providing resources to help the profession be future-ready

Desired output:

  • Heighten awareness of the report and event using social platforms
  • Draw traffic to the CAW website section “Conversations around the World”
