The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka joins Chartered Accountants Worldwide

Sri-Lanka-02Established  in  the  late  1959  by  an  Act  of  Parliament  (No. 23  of  1959),  CA Sri  Lanka  was the first professional accountancy organization to be incorporated under an Act of Parliament in Sri Lanka.

Today, CA Sri Lanka is a globally recognized accounting body, continuously striving to uplift the accounting profession both in Sri Lanka and abroad. The Institute plays an important role at a national level apart from being the sole accredited authority that formulates Accounting and Auditing Standards in Sri Lanka. CA Sri Lanka also enjoys an impressive standing in the global accounting arena, and serves as a member in several leading global accounting bodies, including the world apex body of accountants, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and is a founder member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

CA Sri Lanka also works closely with the Government of Sri Lanka, by being in the forefront assisting the country in achieving its economic objectives.

CA Sri Lanka currently has an active membership of over 5200 Chartered Accountants and over 37,000 aspiring Chartered Accountants who are following the benchmark qualification offered at the Institute.
