As we progress through our careers, at specific inflection points, we often question if we are in the right direction or if we have chosen the right career or our personal or professional circumstances have changed that require reflection on career goals. We have experts that will guide the audience on what to consider and advise on the process to follow to make the most appropriate decision.

CPD

SAICA’s CPD policy has changed effective 1 January 2020 from an input measurement basis to an output measurement basis. SPEAKERS

Michelle Cronje – Executive and Accredited Team Coach using powerful and supportive techniques, enabling you to function at optimal levels

Michelle, a credentialed coach works with individuals and teams and has spearheaded activities related to leadership coaching, performance coaching, executive salary benchmarking, policy formulation, creation of director/partner evaluation performance contracts up to executive level and performance appraisals at Board Level. Her career spans 20 years with a proven track record of Coaching, Legal HR, Strategic HR and Management.  Michelle has noted that today, Executives, Leaders and Future Leadership Pipelines are taking it upon themselves to hire their own Leadership Coach, for a variety of personal reasons to name a few; from being newly appointed; recently promoted with increased responsibilities and want to position themselves as an exceptional leader; promoted to executive level; improve negotiation/influencing skills/emotional intelligence and career pathing. In addition to Michelle running her own practice she is also the Deputy Chairperson of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa KZN and National Deputy Chairperson of the Membership Criteria and Standards Committee. Michelle has completed two Ultra-Marathons (Comrades) and enjoys time spent with her family.

 

Licia Dewing – Career Strategist

Licia holds undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Dramatic Arts, BA (Hons) from the University of Pietermaritzburg, (1994) In 2012 Licia knew she needed to get back to her passion & find more purpose at work; her senior corporate career of 17yrs left her feeling cold. She wanted to step out of the shadows and stand in the sunshine of her career. Out of necessity she developed The Career Strategy Formula and found her way back to her work for purpose and now falls in love with her work every day by helping clients to have the careers they want.

She works with established and emerging leaders across the globe and her innovative career strategies are ground-breaking and supportive to mid-level – senior executives wanting to change careers. WORK is not meant to be a struggle; everyone has a unique fingerprint of #TALENTS within the core of who they are that transcends qualifications & experience.

 

Zimkita Mabindla (CA)SA – Independent Thought Leader

Zimkita is an independent thought leader, currently on a career breakUntil 31 May 2020, she was an Audit Partner for EY’s Consumer Industries Group Division (CIGA).  She has over the years crafted a varied career for herself.  Zimkita was with The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), as a Senior Executive: Corporate Reporting. In that portfolio, she was responsible for Financial Reporting, Integrated Reporting, Ethics & Governance and Technical Standards. She also has financial management experience having been a CFO of a medium sized entity and Group Financial Controller of subsidiary of an international organization, and Group Financial Analyst for a Telecommunications JSE listed company. Zimkita is an EY Alumni and previously was an Associate Director in Consumer Products & Retail until December 2013.
