Being an accountant has been a continuous learning experience for me – besides learning my trade, interpersonal skills and also growing as a person, I surprised myself by enjoying passing this knowledge on to the upcoming accountants as a trainer and mentor. Every day is different and that empowers me to continue developing myself to be a better version of myself.

My inspiration to be an “out of the box” accountant came by meeting new people – students with a science background wanting to learn accounting, IT engineers who wanted to develop solutions to help the finance sector, or non-profits hoping to improve their compliance posture. Along the way, the most valuable tools I’ve acquired is to put a creative spin on solving problems and learning not just from the classroom, but from our daily experiences. Taking the road less travelled has made all the difference to me.
