The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) is South Africa’s finest accountancy body, is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading accounting institutes. The Institute provides a wide range of support services to more than 37,000 members who are Chartered Accountants and hold positions as CEOs, MDs, board directors, business owners, chief financial officers, auditors and leaders in their spheres of business operation. Most of these members operate in commerce and industry, and play a significant role in the nation’s highly dynamic business sector and economic development.

Our mission is to facilitate the development and delivery of competent entry – level chartered accountants, provide services to existing members who are CAs(SA) and who hold positions as chief executive officers, managing directors, board directors, business owners, entrepreneurs, chief financial officers, financial directors, auditors and leaders in their spheres of operation, so that they, too, can play a key role in the success and development of SA’s economy and maintain or enhance their professional competence, thereby enabling them to create value for their clients and employers.

SAICA is constituted of four local regional offices as well as two international representative offices, which serve members based in those respective regions. The regions are as follows;

  • Northern Region (Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo)
  • Eastern Region (KwaZulu-Natal)
  • Southern Region (Western Cape and Eastern Cape)
  • Central Region (Free State, North West and Northern Cape)
