This year’s delegates

Event – Bangkok – 18-21 November 2015

Chartered Accountants Worldwide sponsored a group of young Chartered Accountants from across our six member bodies to take part in the One Young World youth leadership summit in Bangkok from 18-21 November. The annual international conference and think tank brought together over 1,300 of the brightest young people from around the world to debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the world faces, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. Keynote speakers this year included musician and campaigner Sir Bob Geldof, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Nobel Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus and North Korean Defector and Human Rights Activist Yeonmi Park.

As well as representing Chartered Accountants Worldwide alongside their home institutes, our delegates got the chance to network with other attendees to demonstrate how the analytical and problem solving skills of Chartered Accountants can contribute to improving the world we live in. Chartered Accountants Worldwide also hosted a break-out session, chaired by O2 CEO Ronan Dunne, on the Ethics of International Business.
