Ainslie van Onselen, Chair of Chartered Accountants Worldwide and CEO of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand

On behalf of the Global Capacity Building Coalition (GCBC), I’m delighted to welcome Chartered Accountants Worldwide to our growing, global network of organisations aiming to mobilise and scale sustainable finance in emerging markets through capacity building. The accountancy profession not only plays a key role in sustainability reporting and disclosure; in many countries’ Chartered Accountants are key business advisors, especially to SMEs, and need a knowledge of and be able to apply the principles and practice of sustainable finance to support the successful transition of businesses large and small. We look forward to working with Chartered Accountants Worldwide, and other GCBC members, to continue to develop education and training for professional Chartered Accountants and enhance and sustain professional standards with sustainability.
