Michael Izza becomes chairman of Chartered Accountants Worldwide

Chartered Accountants Worldwide today announced that Michael Izza, CEO of ICAEW, has been appointed as the second Chairman of CAW.  He follows Pat Costello who has stepped down after 3 years in the role.

In his new role as Chairman, Michael Izza will promote the contribution made by members and the profession as a driver of business and economic confidence and growth across the world.

“It is a great honour to be appointed Chair of Chartered Accountants Worldwide.  Pat has done a phenomenal job in promoting the chartered accountancy profession as trust leaders, incorporating new member institutes from all corners of the globe. We will continue to work together to strengthen the Chartered Accountants Worldwide family, promote the profession and support our members wherever they are working around the world.  It’s an exciting and challenging time for the profession as we face unprecedented change in both regulation and technology.  The ability to share experience and resources to grasp these opportunities will be vital in future.”
