One Young World 2021
The 2021 One Young World Summit took place from 22 – 25 July 2021 in Munich, Germany, where over 1,800 young leaders from 190+ countries gathered across the city’s well-known venues, including Olympiapark, Olympiahalle, and BMW Welt.
At Munich Chartered Accountants Worldwide and its Member Institutes delegates had the chance to network, debate, make long-lasting connections and discuss innovative solutions for solving some of the world’s issues.

Aisling has been selected as the joint Chartered Star representing Chartered Accountants Ireland at this year’s summit. Aisling has over 8 years experience in Financial Services and has worked with key clients on a range of projects covering business strategy, operations, risk management and restructuring.
Aisling has a keen interest in the UN SDGs with a particular focus on gender equality and climate action and to that end is actively involved in a number of projects including the Green Team Network (co-founder) and the FinBiz Irish Taskforce (project co-lead).
Caroline McGroary
Chartered Accountants Ireland
Dr. Caroline McGroary is a Chartered Accountant and Assistant Professor of Accounting at Dublin City University Business School (DCUBS). Originally from Donegal in the North West of Ireland, Caroline currently works between Ireland and Saudi Arabia where she is part of a collaboration centered around the education of Saudi women.
Caroline’s holistic approach to education has allowed her to successfully align her work in the classroom with burgeoning global social issues such as gender equality and sustainability. Her work has been recognised at international conferences and has been nominated for several awards for innovation, excellence in teaching and impact. Caroline is also an active member of the community, including volunteering with local charities and community groups (e.g. GAA), as well as being a champion Irish dancer.
Yvonne Chapuswike
Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Yvonne Mwaka Chapuswike is a Business Analyst at MTN Zambia Limited (A multinational Telecommunication Company), a role she enjoys as it focuses both on financial and non-financial analysis. She has also worked as a Business Analyst Manager at MTN Eswatini for a 6-month secondment period, from October 2019 to March 2020. During her time in Eswatini, she was privileged to receive recognitions of, “Everyday Heroes celebrations” twice, both in 2019 and in 2020. This is an accolade given out by the MTN Eswatini Exco to individuals that outdid themselves during the month of presentation.
After completing the her studies, she joined BDO Zambia as an external Auditor were, she worked for a period of 3 years and received promotion each year. Yvonne is an Associate Member of ZICA and an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). She is a holder of a Master of Science in Economics and Finance. She graduated as the overall best student at the 2020 graduation, this achievement made her one of the first two females to graduate with the prestigious CA Zambia in the country.
Yvonne’s mission is inspiring others to achieve great things and becoming the best version of themselves through her story and her writing skills, more inclined to education as this is her passion. She intends to further her studies and later become a part-time lecturer and Accounting consultant.
Yvonne enjoys Science, History, Economics and Business related documentaries and webinars; writing Business and Economics articles; Reading about successful people; Exploring new places; Volunteering for charity work; reading and listening to audio books; spending time with friends and family; listening to music and watching TV shows.

Caroline tells us about the time she spent in Saudi Arabia working to improve the financial literacy of women. Staggeringly, over 60% of Saudi women don’t have bank accounts. This contributes towards issues in the home and in the workplace and leads to gender inequality. Caroline wanted to work under the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDGs) framework, focusing on quality education and gender equality (SDG goals 4 and 5).
