About the event

APA Fest 2022 culminated in a joint session with FinBiz2030 – part of the FinBiz2030 Building Resilience event series. The webinar took place on the 10th of November 2022, with the theme “Change for Sustainability”.

The joint session brought together a panel of young leaders in the finance and business communities who are making a difference in Indonesia, the ASEAN region and beyond.

Kate Robertson

Robin Spierings (she/her) is leading the initiative to transform an entire industry and accelerate sustainable aviation, by bringing together and challenging each and everyone, including herself to step up She is changing the game and dares the industry to treat sustainability like safety. She does so with a lot of enthusiasm and experience in organizational and agile transformations, digitization, and product and service design.

She is working in aviation for 10+ years and is dedicated to making a change from within. Since 2019 she is also an active One Young World Ambassador.

Robin Spierings

Wen-Yu Weng, Clean Energy and Climate Response Principal Consultant, PA Consulting.

Wen-Yu Weng (she/her) is an experienced consultant and strategist in low carbon energy and infrastructure. She works across a wide range of commercial, economic, financial, technical and regulatory issues across energy, sustainability and business.

Through her work, she engages with the whole ecosystem of stakeholders required for urgent climate action: innovators, OEMs, corporates, investors, consumers, international development organizations, civil society, and governments. Outside of her consulting career, she is the co-founder of numerous sustainability leadership programs, and a strong advocate on issues pertaining to education reformation and diversity.

Hailing from Oman and India, Svanika Balasubramanian is the Co-founder & CEO of rePurpose Global, the world’s leading Plastic Action Platform dedicated to making environmental action accessible to people and companies around the world. Jonathan Labrey – Chief Connectivity and Integrated Reporting Officer; Senior Market Co-Leader, Asia Pacific

Jonathan Labrey is Chief Connectivity and Integrated Reporting Officer at the IFRS Foundation, leading the team responsible for the technical development and market adoption of the Integrated Reporting Framework and Integrated Thinking Principles. He has over 17 years of experience working in public policy, corporate governance and regulation in the accountancy and corporate reporting fields.

Mr. Labrey was responsible for global policy and strategy at the IIRC from 2012-2021 and the Value Reporting Foundation from 2021-2022. During this time, he developed a particular expertise in Asian markets, having worked across the region while living in Singapore. He has developed a deep understanding of capital market and corporate governance issues, working closely with businesses, investors, regulators and accountancy professional bodies.

Mr. Labrey led the public affairs and policy team at the ICAEW from 2004-10. From 2010-2012 he was head of communications at the UK’s Financial Reporting Council. He graduated in Law from King’s College London and started his career in the UK Parliament as an advisor to several Members of Parliament.

Jonathan Labrey

Iqbal is a HR Talent and Performance Manager that joined Deloitte in May 2019. He handles any activity related to performance management and internal events. Iqbal is also Indonesia Deputy of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for South East Asia.

Before he joined Deloitte, Iqbal started his career around recruitment area and training in a construction company and another Big 4 firm and video social media company. In 2022, he represents Deloitte Southeast Asia as One Young World Ambassador.

Graduating from Psychology of Universitas Sumatera Utara class of 2007, Iqbal has an interest in public speaking where he is frequently invited to give career talks. In his spare time, he collects Lego and trinkets.

Iqbal Nasution
