Taking place in London from 22-25 October 2019, the One Young World summit brought together the brightest young talent from across the globe to debate the key issues the world faces, sharing their ideas and experiences and working with peers to formulate and share innovative solutions.

One Young World gathers together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to create positive change from within their work environments.

As well as representing Chartered Accountants Worldwide alongside their home institutes, our delegates had the chance to network, debate, make long-lasting connections and discuss innovative solutions for solving some of the world’s issues.

Our delegates ‘fly the flag’ for young Chartered Accountants by demonstrating how the analytical and problem solving skills of a Chartered Accountant can contribute to improving the world we live in.

Delegates heard from a high-profile line-up of leaders from a variety of fields including Ban Ki-Moon, Richard Branson, Jon Snow, Jacqueline Fernandez, Halima Aden, Dr Jane Goodall, and Bob Geldof.

ONE YOUNG WORLD THE HAGUE HIGHLIGHTS 2018

Look back at some the best moments from the One Young World 2018 Summit in The Hague.

ONE YOUNG WORLD NEWS

As I see it

Financial institutions do not necessarily carry the risk appetite to fund innovative ideas generated by the younger generation. Businesses could act in a partnership role and become a vehicle of investment for young people’s businesses.

‘In Ireland people saw my potential even if they knew little about me’

I’ve always wanted a job where I can wake up in the morning and be really excited about what I do and that’s exactly how I’ve felt over the past year. Definitely there are days when it’s stressful but when you meet the people you impact through your work, it makes a huge difference.

Chartered Accountants urge finance sector to embrace metrics to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Attitudes, aims and education are among the challenges facing the finance and business community in working towards achieving the 2030 UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). Those were the conclusions from Chartered Accountants Worldwide delegates after the Finance & Business2030 conference in London.
