Sinead Fox-Hamilton (Ireland)

A young accountant will represent Chartered Accountants Ireland at the ‘One Young World’ conference in Bogotá, Colombia, later this year after winning the ‘Young Chartered Star’ 2017 competition.
Sinead, who is 32 and from Dungannon Co Tyrone, qualified in 2011. She trained with KPMG in Belfast and worked in industry for a number of years. She has since moved into a career in recruitment in the finance sector in Belfast with specialist firm McKinty Associates.

She To enter the competition, Sinead wrote an article on her career and particularly impressed the judging panel with her activity as an advocate for the Chartered Accountant qualification, and her honest portrayal of her path to qualification, balancing a demanding job with a professional education programme. The panel also noted her involvement in several charities and voluntary work.
In her current management role with McKinty Associates (specialist Finance recruitment firm) she is a respected go-to consultant for businesses and a trusted career partner to those exploring new opportunities. She is an avid contributor in her local market investing time in numerous Chartered Accountants committees (including Chairperson posts) and other group committees/boards (e.g. Young Leaders NI Chairperson), organising events aiming to educate, inspire and connect people. She has been recognised in Northern Ireland’s ‘Top Forty under 40’ and ‘Top 20 Inspiring Women in Business’ listings.
