Event summary

The event will be officiated by Michael Izza, ICAEW Chief Executive, with keynote address from Steve Kenzie, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network UK. A short trailer of the film will be screened, followed by a briefing of ICAEW’s sustainability initiatives and an in-depth panel discussion.

Inspired by the original Netflix Our Planet series, Our Planet: Too Big To Fail explores the risks of inaction, the impact of investing-as-usual, and the critical role the finance sector can play in the fight for our world. Join the virtual launch of the film and hear what our panel of experts have to say about how you can play your part in saving our planet Earth.

The panellists includes ICAEW Sustainability Faculty, World Wide Fund for Nature, PwC Malaysia, and Alliance to End Plastic Waste. They will discuss pressing matters relating to impact of climate change, the role financial services sector plays in mitigating, and supporting efforts into developing countries to adapt and build resilience, and help recovery of the natural economy.

All attendees are encouraged to watch the full film prior to the event to better understand and engage during Q&A. Watch the full film here.
