Moses Siafwa

Moses is an experienced, dedicated, and results-driven auditor and accountant, committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of my work. With a Bachelor of Accountancy from Copperbelt University and a CA Zambia qualification from the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA), Moses possesses a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.

His journey in the field of auditing has been marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and professional growth. Through various professional and capacity-building trainings, he has honed his skills and stayed abreast of the latest developments in auditing standards and technologies. This ongoing commitment ensures that he is well-equipped to tackle even the most complex audits with confidence and precision.

As a leader, Moses thrives in challenging environments, where he is tasked with leading external audits for prominent multinational corporations across diverse sectors. Moses’ ability to lead large, multicultural teams and drive them towards a common goal has been instrumental in achieving successful audit outcomes time and time again.

One of his key strengths lies in his attention to detail and analytical prowess. Moses possesses a keen eye for identifying potential issues and developing innovative solutions through rigorous risk assessments, audit planning, and testing procedures. This meticulous approach not only ensures the accuracy and reliability of audit findings but also enables him to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients. Evan O'Donnell

Evan is Chartered Accountants Ireland’s first student Chartered Star. Having just completed his FAE exams, Evan has committed to the UN SDGs through all levels of his education, championing several projects across his work and personal life. He is committed to continuously expanding his understanding of the UN SDGs and their interaction, as well as that of his colleagues and peers. Evan is a proud ambassador for the profession through his previous work with Chartered Accountants Student Society of Ireland (CASSI) and current involvement with the ACA Professionals and ESG Network.

Senzo Ndlangamandla

Senzo Ndlangamandla CA(SA), Head of the Department of Accounting Sciences at Walter Sisulu University and Managing Director at SnB Chartered Accountants and Auditors Senzo is an accomplished education and leadership professional.

He has served as the JSE Investment Challenge Coordinator in the Mthatha region from 2015 to 2018, introducing students and learners (predominately from rural communities) to stock exchange dynamics. Since stepping into the role of the head of department, there are many initiatives that Senzo has successfully introduced and formalised: not only those aimed at transforming the department’s approach to student support and development, but also at supporting and developing staff.

In 2022, he proactively put together an improvement and implementation plan which has led to an improvement of their SAICA rating from the danger zone (rating of 3) to a rating of 2. As part of this exercise, he set up a special task team comprising of senior academics from the department, WSU senior staff and some external experienced academics and educationalists from various universities. He also led the development of the department’s 2030 strategic plan, outlining several special projects such as meeting HoDs from several universities to initiate discussions for potential collaboration and mentorship (specifically for their PGDA project); initiating the WSU Accountancy Alumni Association, which has already been approved at an institutional level and was launched in March 2024; and forming strategic partnerships with the local business community (Mthatha).

In 2023, he played a significant role in coordinating the moving of the faculty from one campus site to a new site – which was a complex process, including the development of a tuition timetable and allocation of offices for staff. In June 2023, he initiated the setting up and launching of a Facebook page for the department − currently the only academic department within the university with an official and university-approved presence on social media (Accounting Sciences WSU). He is currently leading a team that is at UCT for capacity building, for WSU’s PGDA that is planned for rollout in 2026.

On the side, he runs an audit practice, SnB Chartered Accountants and Auditors, with a staff complement of 11, all youth − thus playing his part in addressing the all-time-high youth unemployment rate in South Africa.

Eryn Paterson

Eryn Paterson was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. In sixth year at school, Eryn was encouraged to apply for the ICAS Foundation and was successful, securing a place on the foundation programme – receiving both bursary and mentor support during university.

She graduated from the university of Glasgow with a first-class honours degree in Accountancy and secured a graduate role at KPMG in audit. Her graduate role lasted 3 years, during which she worked and completed the ICAS CA qualification and is currently an Audit Assistant Manager. When joining KPMG, Eryn was introduced to colleagues who had been doing work in the social mobility space and following this the firm’s Scotland Social Mobility Network was born.

The local efforts of the team were recognised, and this programme has now been replicated throughout the UK. Eryn is proud to say that there is now a UK-wide social mobility network called Upbringing, which has over 1,000 members. Eryn also works closely with some local schools, sharing her journey and discussing entry routes to the profession.
